You’re doing the right thing, drinking water throughout the day to stay healthy and hydrated. However, when was the last time you actually washed that water glass or water bottle. The key word here is washed, not rinsed.
Remember to wash – not only rinse!
The key is hot, soapy water. Think of it like washing your hands. Rinsing your hands alone won’t do the trick, you need soap and friction. It is the same with your water container.
Of course, we all have germs in our mouths and every time we drink from a container we leave some bacteria behind. Any water – even chlorinated – will allow bacteria to grow. It is best to let the bottle sit empty until it is completely dry.
With that said, to keep you drinking the cleanest of water, we suggest you wash your water container at least every other day.
We hope you find this workplace tip helpful. Let us know, we’d love to hear from you.
Thank you,
